Poulton SFC storm into the quarter finals of the Lancashire Sunday Trophy after beating Highfield Grange FC 4-2 away in Wigan.  Northern Care Colts FC make it through to the last eight of the Gledhill Cup after knocking out ground sharers Tower Lounge FC 2-1.  Quilligans FC have renamed as Sanuk FC.  They were 0-0 at the break but after a tactical half time suibstitution they went on to win 4-1.  The Gardeners make it eight wins from ten and are looking good for runners up spot.  Blackpool Motor Works FC return to the top of Division 1 after beating Bathroom Solutions 5-4 at Squires Gate.  Blackpool Catholic Club FC were beaten 2-1 away at Tangerine Tavern.  In Division 2 it's as you were at the top as leaders Blackpool Lane Ends and Boars Head played out a 3-3 draw.  Xceptional Kitchens FC won again to stay top of Division 3 but it's so close in that Division I expect it to go down to the wire.  It's the same scenario in Division 4.  FC Newton are top tonight on goal difference but after a steady climb up the league, the Blue Room FC are looking ominous and the team to beat.

Three matches postponed in the Lancashire Sunday Trophy and AFC Wilo were unlucky to lose 3-2 away in Wigan at Golborne Park House FC.  There were good wins for Great Eccleston and Gardeners FC in the race for second place in the Prem and FC Loco took all three points with a great away win at Bloomfield Vets FC.  Golden Eagle FC go second in Division 1 after an important win at home to Bathroom Solutions FC and after a slow start Blackpool Catholic Club FC came strong to win 8-0 away at Highfield Social FC.  As Blackpool Lane Ends FC were held to a 1-1 draw away at Travel Village FC the Boars Head FC closed the gap thanks to a 4-0 win against FC Rangers.  The top three are beginning to open up something of a gap at the top of Division 3 after Xceptional Kitchens FC, Number Four Celtic FC and FC Kingsfield all won this morning.  FC Newton took all three points in an entertaining Division 4 fixture against Soul Suite FC and the Blue Room FC won yet again to make things extremely interesting at the top of the table.

Newton Arms FC go out on penalties against Preston Sunday League leaders Preston City.  I'm sure the whole of the Fylde Coast footballing community would wish to join me in congratulating Quilligans FC in going a whole twelve months unbeaten in all competitions, OK just me then.  Another win today puts them seven points clear with a game in hand at the top of the Prem.  Blackpool Motor Works FC are still unbeaten at the top of Division 1 six points clear after beating Brun Grove 3-1.  It's getting interesting at the top of Division 2.  Blackpool Lane Ends FC win away at Hansom Cab and the Boars Head looked to have returned to form with a great 4-0 away win at FC Rangers.  Xceptional Kitchens FC win again to stay top of Division 3 but it was an important win for No 4 Celtic FC who stay in touch with an impressive away win at FC Kingsfield.  FC Newton were held by the Philharmonic in Division 4 but both Thatched and Soul Suite fought hard to take maximum points.  The good form of the Blue Room continued with an 8-0 away thrashing of Stanley Arms, Wesham.
