Poulton SFC secure the last of this season's Gledhill Cup semi finals thanks to a 5-0 win against Teamsport 90 FC.  Blackpool Catholic Club FC reach Round 2 of the Prem/Division 1 Cup thanks to win  against Prem side FC Loco.  In the Premier Division Quilligans FC made it thirteen straight league wins after beating Christ the King to stay top. Gardeners are still chasing hard and picked up three more points against Great Eccleston.  It looks as though the top two places are now decided.  Village Steel FC returned to action and beat Blackpool Motor Works 3-2 to go top of Division 1.  Golden Eagle FC are second after they won 5-1 against C&G Electrical.  21st Century Windows FC came out on top in the Division 2 game of the day as they won 3-2 away at Boars Head FC in a highly entertaining fixture.  The Stable Bar are also going well, they're in third after winning 3-1 away at the Squirrel.  Division 3 leaders Xceptional Kitchens FC were without a game but their rivals maintained the pressure as FC Kingsfield and Number Four Celtic FC both recorded victories.  Division 4 leaders Thatched FC were also without a game and they'll be pleased to see that rivals FC Newton and Blue Room FC played out an exciting 3-3 draw. 

Action from pitch 7 at Commonedge Road where Bathroom Solutions FC were at home to the County FC (Red).  As per usual, Bathroom were having the lion's share of offensive possession but couldn't make it count.  In this video they were denied from a free kick due to the agility of the new slimline 'Tank' Sharples.

Another big game next door between Boars Head FC and the Wipers (21st Century Windows FC).  A great match this one at the top of Division 2.

Over the dyke and it was Division 1 action between Bathroom Solutions FC and the County FC (Red).  Mickey Evans goes close at the far post after the keeper flapped at it but the faintest deflection was enough to put Evans off. 

And not long afterwards, the County broke upfield to take the lead through Rick Sear (9).

The Boars Head score but it was chalked off for offside.

The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 22 January 2012

The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance enjoyed an almost full programme with only three games falling victims of the weather.

In an exciting Gledhill Trophy match Gardeners Arms went through to the semi finals when winning 4-2 on penalties against Blackpool Catholic Club after the teams finished level at 4-4. Danny Betmead netted twice for the winners whilst David Cram scored both goals for Catholic. In the other tie Division One Northern Catholic Colts knocked out Premier side Mythop Leisure 4-1 with Jordan Casey Gavin Hughes Alan O`Loughlin and Steve Palmer on target.

In the Bierkeller Premier/Division One Cup Christ the King eliminated Golden Eagle 3-1 with a pair from Lewis Battersby. 

A Thomas Hatton double secured a 2-1 victory for 21st Century Windows over FC Rangers in the Bierkeller Division Two/Three Cup. Stuart Stockell scored the only goal of the game to take Marshall Court through against Teamsport 90. Goals from Mitchell Horton and Martyn Percival clinched a 2-0 win for Blackpool Lane Ends over Metrostars. CTK and Burn Naze enjoyed comfortable wins against Blue Spot Knee Clinic (4-0) and Mere Park (5-0).

At the top of the Premier League Sanuk FC extended their lead to nine points after defeating Newton Arms 4-2 with David Mendonca (2) Michael Clark and Jordan Spedding the marksmen. Goals from Matt Howard and Scott Park earned Spindles a 2-0 victory over Additions. Fleetwood Gym trounced WCT Chris Allen Garages 12-0 with Liam Forrest netting four and Stuart Parkinson Dean Richards and Kevin Thompson all scoring twice. A treble from Philip Ball and a David Ball pair helped Great Eccleston to a 6-1 win against FC Loco.

Village Steel went top of Division One after hammering C & G Electrical 8-0. With games in hand Tower Lounge maintained their title challenge with the 4-1 defeat of Bathroom Solutions. The County beat Brun Grove 7-3 with Mark Thornber`s three goals and a Rick Seear double leading their scorers.

Boars Head lost ground at the top of Division Two after losing 4-1 to Clifton Arms whose goals came from Matty Grime Philip Passmore Harry Roberts and James Roberts.

Division Three leaders Xceptional Kitchens defeated challengers Number Four Celtic 6-1 with Tyrone Melling grabbing a hat trick. Kingsfield keep the pressure on Kitchens following the 9-1 defeat of Old England with a Chris Casson treble and doubles from Ben Heatley and Lee Watts.

Thatched House extended their lead at the head of Division Four after beating Stanley Arms 4-0 with Matt Gowen Chris Matthews Gareth Nuttall and Paul Parker on their scoresheet. A hat trick from Wes Collins secured a 3-2 success for third placed Blue Room over DH Gas. Fylde Coast Vets. recovered  from a 2-0 deficit against a young Excellent Uk to win 4-2 with Scott Buchanan (2) Darren Clarke (penalty) and Derek Mulhall the scorers.

The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance was again decimated by the weather with only ten games overcoming the heavy overnight frost. 

In the Bierkeller Premier/Division One Cup Division One side Northern Care Colts knocked out Fleetwood Gym from the Premier Division 2-1 with goals from Ryan Roberts and Jordan Smith with Dean Richards replying. Mythop Leisure eliminated C & G Electrical 8-0 with Matthew Rainbow bagging a hat trick. 

The Stable Bar went second in Division Two after defeating The Sun Inn 3-1 with Dean Smithen (2) and Colin Shaw their scorers. Hansom Cab won 8-1 against Travel Village with a Thomas Williams treble and a pair from Phillip Csesnyak topping their scorers. 

In Division Three`s only game doubles from Mark Frankel and Sam Truesdale secured a 5-3 victory for Marshall Court over St Annes. 

Division Four leaders FC Newton defeated Fylde Coast Vets. 5-2 with Ryan Dodd netting four and Daniel Horner replying twice for Vets. Second placed Thatched House beat Berrys Beds 4-0 with Matt Gowen (2) John Brooks and Gareth Nuttall the marksmen. Excellent UK overcame Soul Suite 2-1 with Kieran Rimmington and Darren Heaney on target. Steven Turners hat trick clinched a 3-2 win for DH Gas against Lane Ends Res. whose goals came from Craig Gillies and Mark McCabe. Pairs from Aji Hakeem-Habeeb and Adrian Thorrington earned Victoria Hospital their first win of the season in the 7-0 defeat of Stanley Arms.

The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance`s only surviving side in the Lancashire Sunday Trophy holders Poulton SFC failed to reach the semi finals after losing 4-2 on penalties to Rochdalians.

In the Bierkeller Premier/Division One Cup Division One team Tower Lounge eliminated Premier side Great Eccleston 3-2 with goals from Nick Devereaux Greg Peel and Chris Preece. In the all Premier tie Newton Arms beat Chris Allen Garages 7-4 with Terence Fearns scoring four and Russell Burke two and Martin Brennan replying twice. AFC Additions won 8-0 against Blackpool Motor Works with Nathan Hive bagging four and doubles from Scott Bradford and Paul Zak. 

Boars Head defeated Lane Ends 3-2 in the Bierkeller Division 2/3 Cup with Craig Harding (2) and John Gee scoring and Chris Danson and Lewis Rae replying. Number Four Celtic knocked out Marton Athletic 6-2 and Chris Worden`s four goals earned Stable Bar a 6-1 win over St Annes.

In the Bierkeller Division Four Cup Tony Swallow four goals secured a 7-2 victory for Blue Room against Philharmonic. Darren Heaney also scored four times for Excellent UK in the 8-0 defeat of Stanley Arms.

Premier Division leaders Quilligans maintained their 100% league record in the 3-0 defeat of Bloomfield Vets. with Paul Dickinson Anthony Pearson and Jordan Spedding the marksmen. Gardeners Arms kept up their challenge after beating Fleetwood Gym 3-0 with Anton Byrne-Carter Stuart Holloway and James Hone on target. In Division One Northern Care Colts won 5-2 against The County with Ryan Bingham`s treble topping their scorers.Leaders of Division Two Blackpool Lane Ends overcame AFC Wilo 2-1 with Peter Clarkson and Paul Smith scoring. Richard Mills grabbed a hat trick for Squirrel in the 6-0 defeat of The Sun Inn.

Bispham Hotel shocked Division Three leaders Xceptional Kitchens when Jack Oldrid scored the only goal of the game to earn Bispham the points. 

FC Newton went joint top of Division Four after winning 2-1 against Lane Ends Res. with Carl Duffy and Tom Pickervance scoring and Shaun Gill replying. Chris Gray and Steven Turner both scored pairs for DH Gas in the 6-4 success over D S Rovers with Hayden Armstrong bagging a hat trick for Rovers.
