The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 30 October 2011
The fourth round of the Lancashire Sunday Trophy was a disappointing day for the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance teams with three sides having their ties postponed due to the weather and FC Wilo losing 3-2 to Golborne Park House.
In the Premier Division Gardeners Arms kept up their challenge for second spot after defeating Spindles 3-1 with an Adam Challoner double and a Chris Coll strike and Mark Cottam replying. FC Loco moved above Bloomfield Vets. after beating them 3-2 with Matthew Parr scoring twice.
Golden Eagle kept the pressure on the leaders of Division One with a 3-2 victory over Bathroom Solutions with Chris Bright James Rawcliffe and Brady Skellington on their score sheet. Blackpool Catholic Club got back to winning ways against Highfield Social when after leading 1-0 at half time they rattled in seven more goals without reply with Jimmy Gilmour and Adam Casson both netting twice. Wrea Green held Village Steel to a 3-3 draw with Nathan Cook and Liam Jenks scoring doubles for their teams.
At the top of Division Two leaders Blackpool Lane Ends dropped points in their 1-1 result with Travel Village with Martyn Percival and Neil Gore on target. Boars Head beat FC Rangers 4-0 for the second successive week with pairs from Craig Harding and Lee O`Neill. Squirrel climbed off the bottom after the 5-0 defeat of CTK with Richard Mills scoring four. Lloyd Pattern scored the only goal of the game for Stable Bar against 21st Century Windows. A Paul Passmore double for Clifton Arms secured a 4-0 success over The Sun Inn.
Division Three toppers Xceptional Kitchens won 3-1 against Marton Athletic with goals from Kyle Pieri Dale Ritchie and Gareth Vickers. A Luigi Farina pair clinched a 2-0 victory for second placed Number Four Celtic over Lane Ends. Doubles from Shane Hull and Tony Spokes keep Kingsfield in third place after beating St Annes 4-1. Mere Park enjoyed a 6-1 victory over Metrostars with George Livesey bagging a first half hat trick and other goals from Lee Ferguson Jacob Peake and Andrew Slater. Jordan Howe`s third treble in the month helped Bispham Hotel to a 6-1 success over Old England.
With the leaders of Division Four not playing FC Newton went level second with Soul Suite after defeating them 2-1 with Daniel Greenway and Paul Rossall scoring. Pairs from Stuart Bunn and Stephen Twist earned a 5-1 win for Blue Room over Fylde Coast Vets. Lane Ends Res. won 6-1 against Victoria Hospital with Craig Gillies hat trick topping their scorers. Philharmonic and Berrys Beds shared the points in the 1-1 result with Tom Delaney and Tyler Austin on target. A last minute equaliser earned DS Rovers a deserved share of the points in the 4-4 draw with Stanley Arms.
