The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 31 October 2010
In the Lancashire Sunday Trophy three of the G Casino Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Alliance sides went through to the fourth round. Poulton SFC defeated Bolton champions Farnworth Canary 5-0 with Carl Eastwood and Daniel Morris both scoring twice. Damian Jones`s four goals gave Newton Arms a 5-2 win against Fishwick Rangers and a David Cram hat trick clinched a 4-2 victory for Devonshire Arms over Euxton Corinthians. Thanks to a Scott Bradford hat trick Additions finished level 3-3 with Ossy Hotspurs but then lost on penalties.
Premier division leaders Gardeners Arms defeated challengers Blackpool Rangers 3-1 with a Paul Bailey double. With two games in hand Quilligans kept the pressure on after Paul Dickinson scored the only goal in the 1-0 defeat of Northern Care with substitute goalkeeper veteran Tony Wood keeping a clean sheet.
Bloomfield Vets. the leaders of division 1 lost again after going down 3-0 against The County. Spindles went second after winning 6-0 against West Coast Tackle with Jordan Beech`s two goals leading their scorers. Shovels and Uncle Toms Cabin shared the points in the 3-3 result with Stephen Gay and Jason Nuttall netting twice for their teams. Stuart Holloway and Danny Scott scored pairs for Highbury Vets. in the 5-1 win over Great Eccleston.
The two top sides in division 2 were held to draws with leaders No. 4 Rangers finishing 2-2 with Grand Designs with Leonard Clark and Chris Walsh on target. Improving Northern Care Reserves are challenging after the 4-4 draw with second placed Real Burlington with Ben Waddington striking twice. Fleetwood Kings scored two late goals to defeat Blackpool Catholic Club 4-2 whose goals came from Stephen Bonser and Jimmy Gilmour. Dockers and Squirrel finished level 5-5 with Daniel Shuttleworth and Adam Silver scoring doubles for their sides.
In division 3 leaders Boars Head won 7-3 against Kingsfield with Lee O`Neill netting four. Blackpool Lane Ends defeated Lane Ends 5-1 with Daniel Garth scoring twice. FC Rangers and Ashiana drew 1-1 with Adam Roughsedge and Phillipson Peltier the marksmen. Hansom Cab romped home 8-1 against Mere Park with Chris Glynn grabbing a hat trick. Wilo continued their high scoring with Blue Room by winning
7-0 with Matthew Beaumont Mark Long and Christopher Pope all getting doubles.
In the top versus bottom in division 4 leaders No. 1 Club enjoyed a 7-3 win over Fylde Coast Vets. with James Stewart scoring three and Gavin Holmes two. Metrostars went fourth after a Stuart Wilson hat trick gave them a 3-2 victory over CBFC Choice Furniture whose goals came from Richard Eaves. Sun Inn celebrated Mike McHenry winning Alliance Manager of the Month by beating Clifton Arms 8-1 with Paul Gaskell and Michael Rose getting doubles. Improving Truncheon defeated Lane Ends Res. 3-1 with Damian Ainsmore scoring all their goals.
