Mortgage Shop Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Report 28 February 2010
In the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Poulton SFC went through to the semi final of the Gledhill Cup after defeating Devonshire Arms 3-0 with 2 goals from Darren Hall and one from Lee Catlow. In the other tie Blackpool Rangers and The Old Town Hall replay after finishing 2-2.
The surprise of the Division 2 Cup was The Squirrel`s last minute 3-2 win against top side West Coast Tackle after being 2-0 behind at the interval to goals from the Seear brothers. Adam Holliday and Adam Monk were on target for the winners. Leaders Progress Sports and Social were held 2-2 by FC Brun Grove.
Craig Frankland scored 5 times in Golden Eagle`s 7-3 victory over Frenchmans Cove in the Division 3 Cup. An Andy Harvie hat trick saw 3A leaders Real Burlington through 3-1 against AFC Ansdell Excelsior. 3B leaders FC Kingsfield suffered another defeat by losing 2-0 to FC Edge with Chris Mannus and Mark Ford scoring. In a close game Ashiana beat FC Rangers 5-4 thanks to a Thomas Hatton hat trick and a Phillipson Peltier double.
In the Premier Division Quilligans celebrated reaching the final of the Lancashire Cup by going top after the 2-0 win over Pulcinella`s with goals from Scott Sugden and Jordan Spedding. Northern Care`s poor form continued with a 3-1 defeat by The Dunes. Fylde Coast Gates had a good 2-1 victory over Hydronics with Zack McGuirk getting their goals.
Second placed FC Eden suffered a shock 3-1 defeat to bottom side Paris Casino inDivision 1 with Casino`s goals from Jason Nuttall and Tom Harrison. Leaders FC Loco beat Northern Care Res. 3-0. North West Kitchens and Fleetwood Cricket shared the points in a 3-3 result with doubles from Liam Jenks and Michael Jenkinson.
Great Eccleston who top Division 2A beat bottom side Claremont Cons. 5-0 with Daniel Ball`s hat trick leading their scorers. MA 2 moved above Autoweld after defeating them 4-0.
In Division 2B Blackpool Catholic Club won 7-4 at Metrostars after Stephen Bosner and Wesley Standaloft hat tricks gave them a 6-2 half time lead. Lee O`Neill bagged 4 goals in Skye`s defeat of Mere Park. A Mark Meehan hat trick took No 4 Pub in to fourth place after the 4-0 win over Old England.
Teamsport 90 lost ground at the top of Division 3A after losing 2-1 to The Falcon. Farmers Arms moved to second after beating Lane Ends 3-1.
Bottom of division 3B The Sun Inn scored 5 but still lost to SPS whose 7 goals included a Ben Flitcroft hat trick and a Matthew Wannell pair.
