The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 29 April 2012

In the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance only one of the cup finals survived the wet weather with the Bierkeller Division Two/Three tie between Blackpool Lane Ends and Kingsfield being postponed. In the Bierkeller Division Four Cup Lane Ends Res. lifted the trophy after defeating Excellent UK 2-1 with goals from Michael Booth and Craig Gillies and Jack Martin scoring for the runners up.

Premier Division champions Sanuk FC finished their season with a 4-1 win against Mythop Leisure with Michael Clark ending his fine season with a hat trick and Michael Braebaum`s goal sealing the victory. Poulton SFC only need to win one of their two remaining games to take runners up spot after beating Great Eccleston 4-0 with Adam Shorrocks (2) Darren Hall and Brett Dawson their marksmen. Newton Arms avenged their earlier defeat by Chris Allen Garages by winning 4-0 with Terence Fearns (2) Michael Clay and James Roberts on target.

Division One champions Blackpool Catholic Club surprisingly lost 5-2 to Wrea Green with Sam Weatherby (2) Adam Quigley Nathan Cook and Andrew Thornley on their score sheet. Tangerine Tavern trounced Highfield Social 12-0 with Tony Buxton scoring three and pairs from Barry Davenport Carl Dixon and Michael Long.

At the top of Division Three Mere Park lost out on goal difference to take second place after winning 4-2 against Teamsport 90 with Lee Ferguson Scott Grimes Paul Garforth and Joseph Howarth finding the net and Andy Pritchard and Kevin Moran replying.

Division Four title winners Thatched House beat Philharmonic 5-2 in their final match with  Chris Matthews grabbing four and Ryan Skelly one and Damian Dinsmore and Richard Jebb scoring for the losers.

In the Premier Division of the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance champions Sanuk FC dented Parkside FC hopes of runners up spot when defeating them 2-0 with Michael Clark and Paul Dickinson scoring. Poulton SFC who are third need to win 3 of their 4 remaining games to secure second place after beating Great Eccleston 4-1 with goals from Richard Bryan Chris Morris Gary Pett and Daniel Whittaker and Shaun Taylor replying. Matt Clarke retired as Spindles manager after six years with a 6-3 victory over Chris Allen Garages with Scott Park (2) Mark Cottam Joe Bell Daniel Heathcote and Neil Dugdale on target and manager Daryl Prance and Martin Brennan (2) netting for Chris Allen. A hat trick from Richard Horrocks helped Bloomfield Vets. to a 5-2 win against Newton Arms. Christ The King beat Fleetwood Gym 3-1 with a pair from Craig Davies and a Ryan Chatterjee strike.

Blackpool Catholic Club need two points from their remaining two games to be crowned Division One champions after winning 3-2 against Wrea Green with David Cram scoring twice and Martin Ogier. Tangerine Tavern secured a top three place after defeating Golden Eagle 5-0. Brun Grove enjoyed a rare victory against Northern Care Colts with Mark Truby (2) and Marlon Bradley their scorers in the 3-0 win. Bathroom Solutions overcame Highfield Social 4-0 with Jordan Black Jack Errington Martin Smith and Coner McGough on their score sheet. 

Division Two champions 21st^t Century Windows surprisingly lost 5-1 to AFC Wilo. Goals from Karl Holmes and Jason Jewitt earned Burn Naze a 2-1 victory over CTK. FC Rangers defeated Hansom Cab 3-1 with Chris Scollen Nathan Fairnie and Nathan Lydon thier marksmen and Phillip Csesznyak replying.

In a thrilling battle for runners up position in Division Three Mere Park were behind four times against Kingsfield before winning 5-4 in the last five minutes of the game. Lee Ferguson bagged a hat trick for Mere Park assisted by Scott Grimes and David McNichol while Shane Hull scored three times and Chris Edge once for Kingsfield.

Blue Room replaced Thatched House at the top of Division Four after beating them 3-2 with a Stuart Bunn double and a Stuart Diggle goal and Simon Annetts and Paul Parker replying. Thatched House have to win their last remaining game to secure the title. FC Newton claimed third place after the 5-0 success over Excellent UK with doubles from Ross Ainsworth and Ryan Dodd and an Adam Wilson strike. Fylde Coast Vets. enjoyed an 8-2 win against Stanley Arms with their top scorer Danny Horner grabbing five Phil Dilworth one and rare goal contributions from Colin Earnshaw and Stuart Todd. 

Champions Sanuk FC in goalless draw against Poulton SFC.  Poulton and Parkside both still with a good chance of runners up spot.  It's getting very exciting now in Division 1.  Both leaders Tower Lounge and Blackpool Catholic Club both won this morning.  Tower are five points clear but the Catholics have two games in hand.  Both sides face each other on Wednesday night at Boundary park in what should be a classic.  Division 2 is now a three horse race between Blackpool Lane Ends, 21st Century Windows and Boars Head – only a point separates them.  Good news for Division 3 leaders Xceptional Kitchens as Mere Park are now unlikely to catch them after losing 3-2 at home to Marshall Court.  In Division 4, both the the Thatched and Blue Room won to stay first and second.  The teams meet next week and a win for Thatched would surely ensure the title.
