GLEDHILL FINAL NEWS
| As the 39th Gledhill Final approaches Fyldesport checked up with both managers to find out what their build-up was going to consist of. |
POULTON SFC MANAGER ALAN COCKER
Saturday night in The Bull will kick off our week where I am buying 1 or
2 drinks for them, we might even get a drink out of Danny Morris as it's his 17th birthday [although he will have to send somebody else to the bar ].
On tuesday Steve Macauley will take our final training session before the final, this will take place at a secret camp somewhere in Poulton.
Friday, relaxing day at the De-Vere hotel and pre match meal.
At 5:30pm we'll arrive (in our suits) at Bloomfield Rd so we can nab the home dressing room before them, and then go for a relaxed walk on the hallowed turf.
QUILLIGANS MANAGER MARK SPEDDING
There will definitely be NO DRINKING on thursday evening or friday day. It will certainly make a nice change getting the fookers turning up sober for once with it being a night game, but win or lose, we'll be doing plenty of drinking in town afterwards. Hopefully we'll be joined by the Poulton lads and a few spectators.
On tuesday we play our final league match of the season against Harris & Co, that will be a good run out for some of the lads although Fossie is campaigning to play up front. He'll have to join the queue as even Butty is after that number 9 shirt.
We're meeting for pasta at Mammas at lunch time on Friday, then its off to the De Vere to check out the Poulton lads, bit of golf driving range, putting competition, tennis etc. We'll be having a couple of late fitness tests as well.
Mini bus to the ground for the game then off into town later.
Lets hope the weather's nice.

Notifications of the AGM were also given out with a couple of rule changes to consider.
The main proposed change will set kick off time for the league to the last sunday in August, traditionally it has always kicked off the same weekend as the Football League.
