The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 29 April 2012

In the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance only one of the cup finals survived the wet weather with the Bierkeller Division Two/Three tie between Blackpool Lane Ends and Kingsfield being postponed. In the Bierkeller Division Four Cup Lane Ends Res. lifted the trophy after defeating Excellent UK 2-1 with goals from Michael Booth and Craig Gillies and Jack Martin scoring for the runners up.

Premier Division champions Sanuk FC finished their season with a 4-1 win against Mythop Leisure with Michael Clark ending his fine season with a hat trick and Michael Braebaum`s goal sealing the victory. Poulton SFC only need to win one of their two remaining games to take runners up spot after beating Great Eccleston 4-0 with Adam Shorrocks (2) Darren Hall and Brett Dawson their marksmen. Newton Arms avenged their earlier defeat by Chris Allen Garages by winning 4-0 with Terence Fearns (2) Michael Clay and James Roberts on target.

Division One champions Blackpool Catholic Club surprisingly lost 5-2 to Wrea Green with Sam Weatherby (2) Adam Quigley Nathan Cook and Andrew Thornley on their score sheet. Tangerine Tavern trounced Highfield Social 12-0 with Tony Buxton scoring three and pairs from Barry Davenport Carl Dixon and Michael Long.

At the top of Division Three Mere Park lost out on goal difference to take second place after winning 4-2 against Teamsport 90 with Lee Ferguson Scott Grimes Paul Garforth and Joseph Howarth finding the net and Andy Pritchard and Kevin Moran replying.

Division Four title winners Thatched House beat Philharmonic 5-2 in their final match with  Chris Matthews grabbing four and Ryan Skelly one and Damian Dinsmore and Richard Jebb scoring for the losers.
