In the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Poulton SFC went through to the semi finals of the Gledhill Trophy after a comfortable 5-0 victory over Teamsport 90 with Lee Catlow (2) Darren Hall Thomas Porter and Nicholas Thompson on the scoresheet.
Division One Blackpool Catholic Club knocked Premier side FC Loco out of the Bierkeller Cup. Goals from David Cram and Dean Hoogerwerf gave Catholic a 2-0 half time lead but Loco drew level through Joel Chappell and Ryan Grainger before David Cram`s second goal secured the 3-2 win.
In the Premier Division Christ The King surprised the leaders Sanuk FC by opening the scoring through Lewis Battersby but Sanuk equalised before the break and went on to win 4-1 with skipper Phil Thompson netting twice and other goals from Michael Clark and Anthony Pearson. Second placed Gardeners Arms looked to have secured runners up spot after defeating third placed Great Eccleston 2-0 with Danny Betmead and James Hone on target. Benjamin McKay`s two goals earned Bloomfield Vets. a 2-1 success against Fleetwood Gym.
At the top of Division One leaders Village Steel beat third placed Blackpool Motor Works 3-2 with a Tony Whittle pair and a Shane McLeod strike. A Craig Frankland hat trick kept Golden Eagle second in the 5-1 defeat of C & G Electrical. Matthew Haycock scored all Tangerine Tavern`s goals in the 3-1 win over Brun Grove. A Scott McCabe double clinched a 5-2 victory for Tower Lounge against Highfield Social.
In Division Two 21st Century Windows dented Boars Head title hopes after completing the double over them in a repeat 3-2 scoreline with a Thomas Hatton double and an Andrew Scott goal. Stable Bar`s good run continued with the 3-1 defeat of Squirrel with Mark Sinnett (2) and Brett Nixton finding the net. Lee Scammell bagged a treble for Travel Village in the 4-4 result with CTK. FC Rangers hammered bottom side Sun Inn with Chris Scollen`s four goals and Ryan Bradley`s hat trick topping their scorers.
Kingsfield maintained their Division Three title challenge with the 5-0 defeat of Bispham Hotel. Number Four Celtic kept third place after beating Blue Spot Knee Clinic 7-1 with Luigi Farina scoring twice.
With the leaders of Division Four not playing the two challengers failed to take advantage and shared the points in the 3-3 draw with John Pickervance (2) and Ross Ainsworth scoring for FC Newton and Stuart Bunn Darren Elwell and Stephen Twist replying for Blue Room. Chris Gray and Steven Turner both scored two goals for DH Gas in the 6-4 victory over Berrys Beds. Lane Ends Res. hammered Fylde Coast Vets. 8-1 with Mark McCabe grabbing four goals and Michael Booth three and Stuart McPhee replying.
