The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 08 January 2012

The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance`s only surviving side in the Lancashire Sunday Trophy holders Poulton SFC failed to reach the semi finals after losing 4-2 on penalties to Rochdalians.

In the Bierkeller Premier/Division One Cup Division One team Tower Lounge eliminated Premier side Great Eccleston 3-2 with goals from Nick Devereaux Greg Peel and Chris Preece. In the all Premier tie Newton Arms beat Chris Allen Garages 7-4 with Terence Fearns scoring four and Russell Burke two and Martin Brennan replying twice. AFC Additions won 8-0 against Blackpool Motor Works with Nathan Hive bagging four and doubles from Scott Bradford and Paul Zak. 

Boars Head defeated Lane Ends 3-2 in the Bierkeller Division 2/3 Cup with Craig Harding (2) and John Gee scoring and Chris Danson and Lewis Rae replying. Number Four Celtic knocked out Marton Athletic 6-2 and Chris Worden`s four goals earned Stable Bar a 6-1 win over St Annes.

In the Bierkeller Division Four Cup Tony Swallow four goals secured a 7-2 victory for Blue Room against Philharmonic. Darren Heaney also scored four times for Excellent UK in the 8-0 defeat of Stanley Arms.

Premier Division leaders Quilligans maintained their 100% league record in the 3-0 defeat of Bloomfield Vets. with Paul Dickinson Anthony Pearson and Jordan Spedding the marksmen. Gardeners Arms kept up their challenge after beating Fleetwood Gym 3-0 with Anton Byrne-Carter Stuart Holloway and James Hone on target. In Division One Northern Care Colts won 5-2 against The County with Ryan Bingham`s treble topping their scorers.Leaders of Division Two Blackpool Lane Ends overcame AFC Wilo 2-1 with Peter Clarkson and Paul Smith scoring. Richard Mills grabbed a hat trick for Squirrel in the 6-0 defeat of The Sun Inn.

Bispham Hotel shocked Division Three leaders Xceptional Kitchens when Jack Oldrid scored the only goal of the game to earn Bispham the points. 

FC Newton went joint top of Division Four after winning 2-1 against Lane Ends Res. with Carl Duffy and Tom Pickervance scoring and Shaun Gill replying. Chris Gray and Steven Turner both scored pairs for DH Gas in the 6-4 success over D S Rovers with Hayden Armstrong bagging a hat trick for Rovers.
