Results – Sunday October 2nd 2011

Courtesy of the BFSFA committee, here are all of the the provisional results from today's programme.  The 3rd round of this season's Gledhill Cup dominated the proceedings.  The fixtures for next week are now on-line. Bathroom Solutions FC, Blackpool Catholic Club FC and Philharmonic FC progress to the last sixteen of the Gledhill Cup after knocking out higher league opposition.  Blackpool Lane Ends FC looking good at the top of Division 2. Xceptional Kitchens and Number Four Celtic FC still unbeaten at the top of Division 3.  Soul Suite's narrow win against DS Rovers puts them top of Division 4 after Thatched are beaten away at DH Gas FC.

In the Gledhill Cup, Bathroom Solutions FC (Div 1) were at home to Premier Division side Spindles FC (Red).  The game ended goalless and extra time also saw no breakthrough.  In the above picture, having already missed two of their first three penalties, Spindles FC needed to score to keep them in the tie but the resultant spot kick was blasted over the bar – Bathroom Solutions FC went through to the last sixteen.
