The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report – 28 August 2011
In the Premier Division of the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance the challengers all won to keep the pressure on leaders Quilligans who defeated Great Eccleston 3-0 with second half goals from Michael Clark Michael Evans and Kevan Ford. Joe Bell`s two strikes gave second placed Spindles a 2-1 win over struggling Poulton SFC. Christ the King beat Bloomfield Vets. 5-0 with a Curt Smith double. Fleetwood Gym recorded their first win in the derby against Additions 5-1 with a hat trick from Stuart Geddes leading their scorers.
Blackpool Catholic Club top Division One after the 6-1 success against Brun Grove with a treble from David Cram. Village Steel had a 5-4 victory over Uncle Toms Cabin with Tony Whittle netting twice. Doubles from Craig Frankland and James Rawcliffe clinched a 6-1 win for Golden Eagle over Highfield Social. Blackpool Motor Works romped home 11-2 against C & G Electrical with Andy Harvie`s seven goals topping their scorers.
The three leading teams in Division Two all lost with leaders Boars Head going down 6-1 to AFC Wilo with Peter Ashton-Yamnikar and Christopher Pope both scoring twice and Lee O`Neill replying. A Jason Jewitt pair gave Blackpoool Catholic Colts a 3-2 win over 21st Century Windows. FC Rangers were beaten 2-0 by Hansom Cab with Christopher Glynn and Richard Irving the scorers. Stable Bar defeated The Sun Inn 3-2 with Daniel Barker and Stephen Gay scoring doubles for their sides. Craig Worrall scored the only goal of the game for Blackpool Lane Ends against CTK.
Number Four Celtic maintained their 100% start at the top of Division Three when goals in a fifteen minute spell in the second half from Richard Blampied Luigi Farina and Martin Bowlings secured a 3-2 win over Mere Park whose goals came from George Livesey. Second placed Lane Ends suffered a surprise 4-1 defeat by Bispham Hotel who won their first game with Daren Ing (2) Harry Taylor and Carl Downes on the score sheet.
Division Four enjoyed a feast of goals with joint leaders Thatched House trouncing Berrys Beds 9-0 with Benjamin Hutley`s four goals and Paul Parker`s hat trick leading the scorers. Excellent UK won 4-1 against Fylde Coast Vets. to stay level. Blue Room beat Philharmonic 7-5 with a Tony Swallow treble and a Darren Elwell pair. Chris Gray`s three goals gave DH Gas a share of the points in the 4-4 result with Stanley Arms. Lane Ends Res. enjoyed a 5-3 success against Soul Suite with a Shaun Gill hat trick and a Craig Gillies double.
