In the semi finals of the Premier and Division One Cup of the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance the two Premier sides came out on top against their lower division opposition. Devonshire Arms who were 3-0 down at one stage needed extra time to beat Christ the King 6-4 after finishing level 4-4. Stuart Bracewell and David Cram both scored twice for Devonshire while Stephen Chantler netted twice for the losers. Devonshire now meet Quilligans in the final who defeated Fleetwood Gym 6-0 in a rehearsal of the Gledhill Cup final with Peter Floyd`s double leading their scorers.
In the Premier Division Poulton SFC looked to have secured the runners up spot after the 4-1 victory over FC Loco with Darren Hall Ben Shaw Adam Shorrocks and Daniel Whittaker on target.
West Coast Tackle kept up their quest for silverware in Division 1 after defeating Highbury Vets. 4-1 with a Ben Seear hat trick and a penalty from Ric Seear. Bloomfield Vets. are still in contention after the 7-1 win against Golden Eagle with a Benjamin McKay treble and pairs from Mark Taylor and Lee Miles.
With two games in hand Tangerine Tavern are looking like Division 2 champions after winning 8-0 against the inconsistent Grand Designs with a Matthew Askin hat trick and two goals from Barry Davenport. Wrea Green lost ground after the 5-4 defeat by C & G Electrical with Sam Bannister bagging a hat trick for the winners and Nathan Cook a treble for Wrea Green. With games in hand Tower Lounge kept up their challenge after the 6-2 victory over Layton Institute with a Shaun Meehan hat trick and a Nick Devereaux pair. Blackpool Catholic Club went above Fleetwood Kings after beating them 6-1 with a Stepen Bonser treble and a Sean McGuiness double.
There was a shock at the top of Division 3 when leaders Boars Head lost 4-0 to FC Rangers with Ryan Bradley (3) and Nathan Fairnie on target. Blackpool Lane Ends took top place after beating AFC Bloomfield 6-1 with Daniel Garth getting a hat trick. Marshall Court Sandpiper recovered from being 3-0 down to beat Teamsport 90 5-3 with Craig Simpson netting twice. Mere Park have drawn three of their last four games after the 1-1 result against Lane Ends with Jacob Peake and Nathan Shelliker on the score sheet.
Stable Bar extended their lead at the top of Division 4 with the 4-2 win over Cuban All Stars who scored first before goals from Chris Hastwell James Wilkinson Lloyd Patton and Shaun Worden secured the points. No. 1 Club lost ground after being held 1-1 by Metrostars with Danny Cowell and Stuart Wilson the scorers. Pairs from Ashley Casey and Matty Grime clinched a 6-3 success for Clifton Arms against Lane Ends Res. D H Gas had a good 3-2 win over Xceptional Kitchens with goals from Steve Turner Scott Lion and Nathan Cross and Darren Worrall replying with a double.
