In the Premier Division of the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance, Poulton SFC lost ground on the leaders after being surprisingly held to a 2-2 draw by bottom side Fylde Coast Gates with Carl Eastwood and Nick Pugh on target and Andrew Barker and Samuel Jacob Dyer replying for Gates.
Fleetwood Gym extended their lead at the top of Division 1 after beating Mythop Leisure 3-0 with a Sean Slater double and a Dean Richards goal. Spindles challenge is fading after they lost 4-2 to Shovels with a Stephen Gay pair leading their scorers and Scott Park getting both goals for the losers. West Coast Tackle ended Uncle Toms good run in the 5-3 defeat with Rick Seear netting three and John Emery and Rob Higgins also on target. Highbury Vets. enjoyed a 5-1 win against third placed Christ the King with Stuart Holloway and James Rawcliffe both scoring twice.
In the Division Two and Three Cup Teamsport 90 are the only lower side through to the semi finals after they knocked out Kingsfield 3-1 with a Richard Blampied double. Adam Casson`s two goals clinched Tower Lounge an extra time 6-2 victory over AFC Bloomfield.
At the top of Division 2 Northern Care Colts got back to winning ways in the 6-0 defeat of CTK with Ben Waddington grabbing four goals and Carl Faber two. Second placed No. 4 Rangers suffered another defeat after losing 3-2 to Dockers. Squirrel won a high scoring game 7-4 against Layton Institute. In a close game C&G Electrical defeated Blackpool Catholic Club 3-2 who came back twice from a two goal deficit with goals from Ryan Standaloft and Damian Clayson.
Division three leaders Blackpool Lane Ends struggled to beat St Annes with Daniel Garth scoring the only goal of the game. Mark Frankel`s double gave Marshall Court a 4-0 win against Blue Room. Number Four Celtic and Mere Park finished goalless.
Division four leaders No. 1 Club lost again going down 3-2 to Waterloo Hotspurs with Michael Tidmas netting twice for Hotspurs. With games in hand Stable Bar are challenging for the title after defeating Cuban All Stars 4-1 with Brett Nixon getting a hat trick. Blackpool Catholic Colts needed a penalty from Andrew Duckworth to secure a draw with Fylde Coast Vets. after a strike from Stuart McPhee gave Vets a half time lead. Daniel Worrall`s hat trick helped Xceptional Kitchens to an 8-0 victory against Waterloo Pub. Clifton Arms beat D H Gas 7-2 with a Tony Burke treble and an Ashley Casey pair topping their scorers. Philharmonic`s good run continued when a double from Damian Dinsmore earned them a 3-3 draw with The Sun Inn. Stuart Wilson`s two goals helped Metrostars to a 3-2 success over Lane Ends Res. whose goals both came from Alekzander Walker.
