The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 06 February 2011

The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance was again decimated by the weather with games being cancelled due to flooded pitches.

The second round of the Premier and Division 1 Cup was another triumph for the lower division with three Premier sides being dumped out of the competition. A Robbie Boal hat trick clinched an 8-2 victory for Fleetwood Gym over FC Eden. Mark Smith scored the only goal of the game to send AFC Additions through against Fylde Coast Gates. A David Wadiun goal gave Christ the King a 1-0 success over Blackpool Rangers. Premier leaders Gardeners Arms defeated Shovels 4-0 with Thomas Didlock Benjamin Hutley Allan Perkes and David Sorrell on target. In the other tie Quilligans had a convincing 4-1 win against The County with a Michael Evans double.

In the only Premier game Poulton SFC beat FC Loco 4-0 with Darren Hall netting twice.

Bloomfield Vets dropped vital points at the top of Division 1 after being held 2-2 by lowly Highfield Social whose goals were scored by Fraser Cook and Jack Errington with Benjamin Kay and Lee Miles on the Vets score sheet.  Bottom side Uncle Toms Cabin had a surprise 6-3 win over Highbury Vets with a Jason Nuttall treble and two goals from Chris Jackson.

The joint leaders of Division 2 met with The Burlington overcoming a 3-0 first half deficit to draw with Northern Care Colts 3-3. No. 4 Rangers defeated CTK 5-0 with a pair from Adam Walsh. Tower Lounge challenging run continued with goals from Mark Meehan and Gordon Reeves clinching a 2-1 victory against Wrea Green. Grand Designs enjoyed a 5-0 win over Blackpool Catholic Club with Liam Jenks and Tony Whittle both scoring twice.

In Division 3 Blackpool Lane Ends lost ground on the leaders after being held 1-1 by St. Annes with Daniel Garth on target and David Ramsden replying for St Annes. AFC Bloomfield beat Teamsport 90 4-1 with Phillipson Peltier grabbing a hat trick.

Division 4 leaders No. 1 Club struggled to overcome Waterloo Pub 3-2 with Danny Cowell(2) and Jordan Trinder their scorers and Darren Ing and Adam Morgan replying. Playing his first game since scoring in the Gledhill final six years ago David Mendonca grabbed a first half hat trick on his debut to give Fylde Coast Vets a 4-2 lead against Philharmonic but two late goals gave the visitors a share of the points.
