The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 30 January 2011 Heavy overnight frost caused the postponement of almost half the games in the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance.
In the only game played in the Premier Division Quilligans narrowed the gap at the top after beating a well organised Newton Arms 3-1 with goals from Mark Beattie (2) and Paul Robinson and Kevin Bullen replying.
Leaders of Division 1 AFC Additions were held to a 1-1 draw by Highbury Vets with Frank Cygal and Simon Beavers on target. Fleetwood Gym closed in after defeating Shovels 3-0 with Liam Forrest Stuart Parkinson and Daniel Smith their scorers. With games in hand Spindles are title contenders after late goals from Robert Greaves and David Rossall clinched a 2-1 victory over West Coast Tackle whose goal was scored by Adrian Reid. A Bradley Gill pair gave Christ the King a 2-2 draw with Golden Eagle.
Northern Care Colts went back to the top of Division 2 after a Carl Faber double helped them to a 4-3 win over C & G Electrical. A Mark Meehan pair gave Tower Lounge a 2-1 success against No. 4 Rangers. Fleetwood Kings beat Grand Designs 3-2 with Paul Parker netting twice.
Boars Head opened up a seven point lead in Division 3 after defeating Kingsfield 8-2 with doubles from Craig Harding David Ireland and Lee O`Neill. Marshall Court had a surprise 5-2 win against second placed Blackpool Lane Ends with five different players on their scoresheet. St Annes won 3-0 against Blue Room with John De Loup grabbing all their goals. Lane Ends and Hansom Cab finished goalless.
In a game of changing fortunes Division 3 leaders Stable Bar beat Lane Ends Res. 4-3 with Brett Nixons hat trick including two penalties. Metrostars defeated Xceptional Kitchens 6-2 with a Liam Stephens treble. The Sunn Inn`s good run continued with the 6-0 win over Waterloo Pub with a Mark Yates hat trick and a Craig Robinson double. DH Gas won 3-0 against Waterloo Hotspurs with a pair from Steve Duffy and a Chris Gray strike. Clifton Arms hammered Cuban All Stars 9-2 with a Tony Burke treble and doubles from Paul Passmore and Antony Weszka. Bottom side Fylde Coast Vets earned a rare point after holding CBFC Choice Furniture to a 2-2 draw with a Darren Clarke strike and an own goal and Sam Ives and Richard Eaves replying for CBFC.
