The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 23 January 2011 

Poulton SFC secured their Gledhill Trophy semi final place in the G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance after winning 5-0 against Spindles with Lee Catlow scoring twice. They now meet Quilligans in a repeat of last years final. 

In the outstanding Division Two/Three Cup ties Blackpool Lane Ends defeated No. 4 Celtic 8-1 with Daniel Garth netting five and Craig Worrall two. Kingsfield also went through 3-0 against FC Rangers with Gareth Evans Shane Hull and Tony Spokes on target.

Leaders of the Premier Division Gardeners Arms were held to a goalless draw by Devonshire Arms. Quilligans gained ground after the 2-0 victory at Blackpool Rangers with goals in each half from Michael Evans and Nick Greenall. FC Eden won a high scoring game 5-4 against Fylde Coast Gates with a pair from Mark Cottam leading their scorers.

AFC Additions went joint top of Division 1 after beating Uncle Toms Cabin 4-2 with Paul Zak scoring a hat trick and Jason Nuttall getting both goals for Uncle Toms. Bloomfield Vets. who are level but have played two more games lost to Mythop Leisure with Chris Hibbert scoring the only goal. Fleetwood Gym are in contention after winning the local derby with Highbury Vets 6-0 with Stuart Parkinson netting three. West Coast Tackle needed two second half penalties from Zack Williams to defeat Great Eccleston 2-1.

Layton Institute beat Division 2 leaders Real Burlington 3-1 with Matthew Derby scoring twice. Bloomfield Hotel who are second drew 3-3 against C & G Electrical with a Daryl Hall double and a Matthew Askin goal. Wrea Green are challenging after beating Squirrel 4-0 with Nathan Cook grabbing all the goals. Grand Designs halted Northern Care Colts good run by defeating them 5-2 with a John Whittle treble and a Tony Whittle pair. Blackpool Catholic Club went 3-1 up against Dockers with a Sean McGuiness double and a Stephen Bonser strike but two late goals gave Dockers a share of the points.

Boars Head top Division 3 by four points after the 6-0 victory over Lane Ends with a Lee O`Neill hat trick. Mere Park conceded a first minute goal against St Annes but a Rick Fisher first half hat trick secured a 4-1 win.

In Division 4 leaders No. 1 Club suffered a surprise 6-1 defeat by The Sunn Inn with Mark Yates striking twice. Goals from Mark Sinnett and Shaun Worden clinched Stable Bar a 2-1 win over Metrostars. Xceptional Kitchens were the days top scorers after the 11-1 victory against Philharmonic with Darren Worrall and John Vickers both netting four. Despite scoring five bottom side Fylde Coast Vets, went down 7-5 to Lane Ends Res. whose goals were a Chris Danson hat trick and pairs from James Fitch and Karl Fletcher.
