The G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 21 November 2010
In the Lancashire Cup games Poulton SFC was the only G Casino Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance team to go through to the quarter finals after defeating Warrington side Hoop & Mallet Callands 11-1 with Adam Shorrocks scoring four and Darren Hall and Lee Catlow hat tricks. Devonshire Arms lost 1-0 to holders AFC Lostock Hall and Newton Arms went out 7-4 to New Meadow Street Labour Club.
Quilligans are through to the quarter finals of the Gledhill Cup after winning 9-2 against Fleetwood Kings with man of the match Anthony Pearson netting five times.
In the Premier division leaders Gardeners Arms beat Fylde Coast Gates 2-0 with goals from Allan Perkes and Phil Smith. FC Loco went second after winning 4-3 against FC Eden with Lee Sheard scoring twice.
Bloomfield Vets. got back to winning ways at the top of division one by defeating Shovels 2-0 with Benjamin McKay and Ashley Walsh the marksmen. Fleetwood Gym went third after winning the local derby against Highbury Vets. 2-1 with John Beavers and Michael Jenkinson on target and Craig Littlewood replying. West Coast Tackle beat Golden Eagle 5-3 with Ric Seear and Ben Seear both scoring doubles and Craig Frankland an hat trick for the losers. In the meeting of the bottom sides Highfield Social came out 3-1 winners over Uncle Toms Cabin with a pair from Fraser Cook.
Leaders of division two Real Burlington won 8-2 against Dockers with Jamie Nay netting four and Andy Harvie three. Nathan Cook`s two goals continued Wrea Green`s good run in the 5-0 win over Layton Institute. Blackpool Catholic Club led CTK until a last minute equaliser resulted in a 4-4 scoreline with Catholic`s goals coming from Mark Arrowmith (2) Shaun Meehan and Stephen Bonser.
Division three Boars Head were the last Alliance side to lose its 100% record when they were surprisingly held to a 2-2 draw by Mere Park. An Aaron Clarke penalty gave Mere Park an early lead before second half goals from Craig Harding and David Harding put Boars Head in front until a late strike from Jacob Peake helped Mere Park to a share of the spoils. Second placed Blackpool Lane Ends beat Ashiana 3-0 with two goals from Ben Fenton. Paul Wilson`s four goals clinched a 5-3 victory for Teamsport 90 over Lane Ends.
The leaders of division four No.1 Club lost 2-0 to Blackpool Catholic Colts with Andrew Duckworth and Shaun Frankle the marksmen. Stable Bar beat Xceptional Kitchens 7-1 with Brett Nixon`s treble leading their scorers. Mark Yates stuck five times in The Sun Inn`s 7-1 victory over Lane Ends Res. Stuart Wilson`s four goals topped Metrostars scorers in the 6-2 win against Fylde Coast Vets.
