Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report  – 17October 2010  

In the Gledhill Cup games in The Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance last year`s two finalists went through to the last sixteen. Holders Poulton SFC defeated Blackpool Rangers 5-0 whilst Quilligans won 5-1 against a spirited Tower Lounge with the goals being scored by eleven different players. In the other tie Newton Arms and FC Loco have to replay when finishing 4-4 after extra time with Anthony Cullen and Matthew Parr on target twice for their sides. 

At the top of the Premier division Gardeners Arms beat Northern Care 4-1 with an Adam Challoner double and Devonshire Arms kept in touch after winning 5-1 at Pulcinella`s with David Cram scoring a hat trick. 

Division 1 leaders Bloomfield Vets. suffered a shock 4-3 defeat by lowly West Coast Tackle. Vets fought back twice from a two goal deficit to level 3-3 before Adrian Reid popped up with a late winner for West Coast whose other goals came from Ben Seear (2) and Zak Williams. Shovels went second after Peter Clarkson scored the only goal in the game against Golden Eagle. In the meeting of the bottom sides Highfield Social went above Uncle Toms Cabin after defeating them 3-1 with a pair from Fraser Cook and a Jack Errington strike. 

No. 4 Rangers regained top spot in division 2 after winning 3-2 against Layton Institute with a Dean Chadwick double. Real Burlington dropped to second after a surprise 5-2 loss to Squirrel with a Mark Talbot hat trick heading their scorers. Northern Care Res. dominated the game against CTK winning 9-1 with Jordan Casey Pim Fracke and Carl Faber all scoring twice. Improving C & G Electrical held Fleetwood Kings to a 4-4 draw with Phil Williams and Paul Parker scoring pairs for their teams.  

Leaders of division 3 Boars Head had a narrow 4-3 victory over FC Rangers with a Craig Harding double leading their scorers. Hansom Cab defeated bottom side Blue Room 7-1 with a Danny Cleaver hat trick and two goals from Christopher Glynn. After a blank first half AFC Wilo won 4-1 against Mere Park with Chris Clapp netting twice. A Chris Casson hat trick and a Gareth Evans double helped Kingsfield to a 6-1 defeat of Old England. 

In division 4 leaders No. 1 Club needed two goals from Gavin Holmes to overcome Metrostars 2-1. Pairs from Mark Sinnett and Lee Harris helped Stable Bar to a 6-2 victory over Waterloo Pub. The Sun Inn hammered bottom side Truncheon 10-1 with Phil Gaskell scoring four and Mark Yates a hat trick.
