A bit of a rush job today because of the Blackpool FC match v Man City. First up was the Division 4 top of the table clash between runaway leaders No 1 Club FC (Blue) versus Metrostars FC. A close game this one and metrostars pushed them hard but the No 1 Club FC took all three points thanks to a 3-1 win.

Next up was the Division 4 match between strugglers Waterloo Pub FC against the Stable Bar FC (Blue). The Stable Bar FC went second thanks to a 6-2 victory.

In the Premier Division FC Eden (Blue) were away at Fylde Coast Gates FC. Very close in the opening 45 minutes with Gates taking the lead thanks to an own goal. In the end FC Eden took the points thanks to a 3-2 win.
I was praying for it to do its business against Robbie Slater's tree trunk like leg but my wish wasn't granted.

On Pitch 1 league leaders Bloomfield Vets FC were at home to West Coast Tackle Postal FC. West Coast were in good form today and quickly went 2-0 up. In the end they won 4-3 in a highly entertaining fixture.

The best match was on Pitch 7 where the Shovels FC were at home to Golden Eagle FC in Division 1. For most of the game it could have gone either way but the Shovels nicked it with a 1-0 win to go second in the table.
