Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report – 10 October 2010
Five of the seven Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance teams involved in the second round of the Lancashire Cup were successful. However Quilligans lost 5-0 to the holders Lostock Hall who beat them in last seasons final and despite leading twice through Matt Dawson goals Gardeners Arms went out 3-2 to another Preston side Tarleton Corinthians. Poulton SFC hammered Darwen Victoria 13-1 with Darren Hall scoring four and Carl Eastwood a hat trick. A Henry Wright treble helped Fylde Coast Gates to a 5-0 win over Lower Darwen. Mark Smith scored three for Additions in the 4-3 defeat of Plungington Celtic. Devonshire Arms needed penalties to beat New Gardeners. Kevin Bullen and Matthew Witrylak scored doubles for Newton Arms in the 5-0 victory over Penwortham Hill.
In the second round of the Gledhill Cup FC Eden defeated Bloomfield Hotel 8-1 with a Craig Byrom hat trick leading their scorers. In a close game division 4 Stable Bar narrowly lost 4-3 to division 1 Spindles. Goals from Luke Robinson and Keirnan Farnie clinched Pulcinella`s 2-1 win over Ashiana.
The only Premier division game saw Blackpool Rangers beat Northern Care 4-2 with Ellis Casson netting three.
Division 1 leaders Bloomfield Vets. had a narrow 4-3 victory over Mythop Leisure. Peter Clarkson`s hat trick helped Shovels to the 4-2 defeat of Golden Eagle.
No. 4 Rangers lost top spot in division 2 after the 3-2 defeat by Blackpool Catholic Club whose goals came from Stephen Bosner Shaun Meehan and Tom Sheard. Real Burlington lead the table after a 3-2 win against Fleetwood Kings with Andy Harvie Jamie Nay and Mark Webster on target. In the meeting of the bottom sides C & G Electrical beat Dockers 5-1 with Joe McMillan getting a hat trick.
Boars Head and Blackpool Lane Ends are level at the top of division 3. Boars Head who have two games in hand beat bottom side Blue Room 10-3 with Lee O`Neill scoring four. Blackpool Lane Ends won 5-2 against Wilo with Lee Barker and Daniel Garth both scoring twice. Old England earned their first win with Leon Fletcher`s hat trick giving them a 5-2 victory over St Annes. Marshall Court moved above Teamsport 90 after beating them 3-1 with Danny Howes scoring his debut goal and Jack Broadbent and Mark Frankell also on the score sheet.
No. 1 Club lead division 4 by 11 points after winning 2-0 against challengers CB Choice Furniture with Danny Cowell and Luke Mitchell scoring. The Sun Inn had a good 2-1 win over Xceptional Kitchens with Paul Gaskell netting twice.
