Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 29 August 2010
In the Premier division of the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Quilligans consolidated their position at the top after a Club record of 6 goals from Jordan Spedding and a Michael Evans pair gave them an 8-1 victory over Gardeners Arms. Fylde Coast Gates earned their first points in the 3-0 defeat of bottom side Pulcinella`s with a Callum Chadderton double and a Zack McGuirk goal. Newton Arms recorded their first win after beating Northern Care 4-1 with Anthony Joy scoring twice.
Bloomfield Vets. are clear leaders in division 1 after winning 2-0 against Spindles with goals from Andy Gouck and Leon Pritchard. Shovels who have recovered from a poor start beat West Coast Tackle 9-4 with Andy Barrow and Ashley Casey both getting hat tricks and the Seear brothers Ric and Ben sharing their opponents goals. Jason Nuttall`s two goals helped Uncle Toms Cabin to their first win in the 3-2 success over Christ The King. Highfield Social overcame Great Eccleston 3-2 to collect their first points with Fraser Cook netting twice.
No. 4 Rangers dropped their first points in division 2 after drawing 1-1 with Northern Care Res. with Dean Chadwick and Jake Turner on the score sheet. Squirrel surrendered a two goal lead twice in drawing 3-3 with Blackpool Catholic Club in a game containing three penalty goals including Mark Arrowsmith`s last minute equaliser.
Division 3 leaders Boars Head kept their 100% record after defeating challengers Ashiana 5-4 with Lee O`Neill`s double leading their scorers and Michael Kennerley getting a hat trick for the losers. Mere Park went joint second after the 3-1 success at St Annes with Aaron Clarke Craig Hull and Scott Grimes on target. Blackpool Lane Ends had a fine 5-1 victory over FC Rangers thanks to a Daniel Garth treble and a Craig Worrall pair. No. 4 Celtic trounced Blue Room 8-0 with Luigi Farina scoring five.
No. 1 Club head division 4 with maximum points after defeating Cuban All Stars 4-1 with goals from Danny Cowell(2) Jamie Morris and Philip Potter. Second placed DH Gas dropped points in drawing 1-1 with Waterloo Hotspur with Scott Lion on target. Clifton Arms beat CBFC Choices Furniture 6-5 with Matty Grime grabbing four of their goals. Truncheon earned their their first points in the 2-1 win over Fylde Coast Vets. with Damian Ainsmore and Chris Brookfield scoring.
