Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 15 August 2010
In the top game of the day in the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Premier Division champions Quilligans earned a deserved 2-0 victory over a well organised Poulton SFC side. After a goalless first half Sam Gorrie opened the scoring midway through the second half and then Mark Beattie`s goal secured the points. Devonshire Arms beat Blackpool Rangers 2-1 with David Cram getting both their goals. Gardeners Arms defeated Newton Arms 6-3 with Paul Bailey and Anton Byrne-Carter both scoring twice. FC Eden won 6-1 against Pulcinella`s with pairs from Craig Byrom and Mark Cottam. FC Loco overcame Fylde Coast Gates 3-1 with two goals from Chris Smith.
Bloomfield Vets. maintained their 100 % record in Division 1 with the 4-1 defeat of Fleetwood Gym with Benjamin McKay netting twice. Spindles are level at the top after winning 5-3 at Mythop Leisure with Scott Park`s two goals leading their scorers. West Coast Tackle are struggling without top scorer Ric Seear and after leading 3-0 against Additions they went down 4-3.
In Division 2 Real Burlington scored 4 second half goals to beat Blackpool Catholic Club 5-0 with a Jamie Nay double. Layton Institute won 6-3 against Travel Village with Wes Collins grabbing a hat trick. Two Anthony Haworth goals gave No. 4 Rangers a 2-1 win at Fleetwood Kings.
Boars Head kept their 100 % record in Division 3 with Lee O`Neill scoring 4 for the second successive week in the 9-2 defeat of Teamsport 90. Ashiana also have maximum points after winning 4-0 against St. Annes with Daniel Savage scoring two. Mere Park overcame a two goal deficit twice to beat Blackpool Lane Ends 6-3 with pairs from Craig Hull and Jacob Peake. A Luigi Farina hat trick gave No. 4 Celtic a 4-1 victory over Hansom Cab.
D H Gas won 7-2 against Waterloo Pub in Division 4 with doubles from Andrew Redfern and Nathan Rutherford. Blackpool Catholic Club Colts defeated Xceptional Kitchens 6-4 with a Liam Bradshaw treble and Dale Ritchie scoring two in reply. A Daniel Smith hat trick helped CBFC Choice Furniture to a 6-0 win over Truncheon. Fylde Coast Vets. scored first against Waterloo Hotspurs but their average age of 42 took its toil and they lost 4-2 with Daz Clarke getting both the goals.
In the first round of the Gledhill Cup a Paul Gaskell hat trick gave The Sun Inn a surprise 4-2 victory over Farmers Arms.
