Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 08 August 2010The Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance kicked off last weekend with a new format of a Premier and divisions 1 to 4.

In the Premier division last seasons top two teams started in fine style. Champions Quilligans defeated Fylde Coast Gates 11-1 with new signing Paul Dickinson scoring four and doubles for Michael Evans Liam Friend and Jordan Spedding. Runners up Poulton SFC won 9-2 against Newton Arms with a Carl Eastwood hat trick and pairs from Darren Hall and Lee Catlow. Devonshire Arms scored a late winner to beat Eden 2-1 with Mark Ashall and Ben Waddington on target and Kyle Bingham replying.

In the meeting of the promoted sides in division 1 West Coast Tackle inflicted Golden Eagles first league defeat in 12 months when they won 3-1 with first half goals from the Seear brothers. Stephen Barnes pulled a goal back before last seasons Alliance top scorer Rick Seear sealed the victory.  Mythop Leisure hammered The Shovels 9-0 with Chris Hibbert`s four goals leading the scorers. The Beavers family claimed all four goals for Highbury Vets. in the 4-1 success against Highfield Social. Terry scored twice with John and Lee also netting and John Lawson replying. Bloomfield Vets enjoyed a 3-2 victory over Christ The King with Andy Gouck Stephen Hughes and Mark Taylor on target.

In division 2 Layton Institute scored first through Rick Trelfall but lost 2-1 to Blackpool Catholic Club whose second half goals came from Adam Casson and a late header from Mark Arrowsmith. Tower Lounge and Bloomfield Hotel drew 2-2 with Gordon Reeves scoring twice and Barry Davenport and Jazz Davis replying for Bloomfield. Travel Village defeated Real Burlington 3-2 with two goals from Lewis Johnston and Tim Dixon also scoring.

Blackpool Lane Ends trounced Old England 9-0 in division 3 with Daniel Garth grabbing five goals. Ashiana beat No. 4 Celtic 7-2 with doubles from Thomas Johnson Michael Kennerley and Liam Orr and Luigi Farina replying. Boars Head had a good 5-2 win at Wilo with Lee O`Neill scoring five times. Marshall Court Sandpiper and Lane Ends drew 1-1 with Craig Simpson and Nathan Shelliker the marksmen. In a close game at Lytham Mere Park defeated Hansom Cab 1-0 with James
