Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 09 May 2010 

The last Sunday of the season in the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance saw Poulton SFC go two points behind Premier division leaders Quilligans after goals from Darren Hall and Carl Eastwood gave them a 2-0 victory at Wrea Green. The two teams meet in the Gledhill Cup final at Bloomfield Road tomorrow (Friday) at 7.15 and on Monday night at Cottam Hall in the title decider. In the other game Northern Care beat The Dunes 3-2 with Gareth Moore Wayne Maden and Nick Devereaux on target.

West Coast Tackle were crowned division 2A champions after winning 3-2 against Rossall Tavern who took a shock 2-0 lead in the first 20 minutes when Chris Mizon scored twice before Rick Seear pulled one back on the half hour. A Warwick Hargreaves header levelled for West Coast just before half time. With 15 minutes remaining ace striker Rick Seear grabbed his 45th goal of the season and to make it 100 goals scored by the team. Clinching the title is a family celebration for player/manager Daryl Prance his team mates sons Matthew and Adam and regular supporter father Roy. Mythop Leisure climbed above Spindles to finish third after defeating them 1-0 with a Chris Moreton goal. Waterloo Sports won 4-3 against The Squirrel with Liam Bradshaw(2) Steve Betterridge and Rob Edwards their marksmen. 

Progress Sports trounced bottom side AFC Marton 13-0 in division 2B with Curt Smith and Craig Smith both scoring four times. Progress now need to win their final game to lift the trophy.

Champions of division 3B Golden Eagle beat FC Edge 3-2 with Craig Frankland (2) and Sam Bannister scoring and Christopher Pope and Chris Norrish replying.
