Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 18 April 2010
In the Premier division of the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Qulligans earned 3 valuable points in the defeat of last years champions Blackpool Rangers with Michael Evans scoring the only goal of the game and are only a point behind leaders Poulton SFC with a game in hand.
There were shocks galore in division 1 with the top two teams losing and the bottom three winning. Leaders FC Loco were thrashed 8-0 by third placed The Old Town Hall with Gary Evatt`s 5 goals leading their scorers. Second placed FC Eden lost 2-1 to lowly North West Kitchens through goals from John Whittle and Kevin Everton.
Bottom side Northern Care Res. had a surprise 5-3 win against AFC Additions with pairs from Matt Livingstone and Michael Donohoe. Paris Casino completed the hat trick of wins at the bottom by beating Fleetwood Cricket Club 4-3 with Jason Nuttall scoring twice.
Three teams are level on points at the top of division 2A after leaders Great Eccleston were defeated 5-1 by The Squirrel. West Coast Tackle are first on goal difference after trouncing Autoweld 9-2 with Rick Seear netting 5 times. Mythop Leisure kept up their title challenge with the 3-2 victory at Waterloo Sports with David Warburton Chris Kitchen and Matthew Rainbow on target.
In division 2B leaders Highfield Social were 2-0 down to Mere Park until the last 20 minutes when goals from Adam Pickering Fraser Cook and Russ Ingham gave them a 4-2 victory with Anthony Kibbler and Lee Ferguson the Mere Park marksmen. With three games in hand Progress Sports are still in contention following the 4-1 win over Boars Head. Blackpool Catholic went fourth after coming from behind to beat Skye 4-2 with Daryl Taylor Stephen Bosner Robert Heritage and Mark Arrowsmith on their score sheet.
Teamsport 90 defeated division 3A champions Real Burlington 4-1 with a pair from Andy Smith. Falcon dropped points in the 2-2 draw with AFC Ansdell Excelsior. Bottom side St Annes Ex Service narrowly lost 5-4 to FC Rangers with Chris Scollen grabbing a hat trick for the winners and Darren Worrall and Richard Harrison getting doubles in reply.
Leaders of division 3B Golden Eagle won 6-0 at CB Choice Furniture with Lee Cook scoring a hat trick. SPS made it ten wins on the bounce after the 3-2 defeat of Score Football with Ben Fenton scoring twice. A Kevin Fitch double helped FC Newton Castilla to a good 3-1 win over The Stable Bar.
