Mortgage Shop Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Report 14 March 2010

In the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance second division Highfield Social are through to the semi final of the Gledhill Cup after the extra time 3-2 win against FC Loco with Craig Worrall scoring all their goals.

In the Premier Division Cup Quilligans beat Bloomfield Vets.3-0 with goals from Jordan Spedding Steve Palmer and Scott Sugden. The Dunes took Devonshire Arms to extra time before losing 3-0 to Marco Cobb David Cram and Bryn Jones strikes.

In the Division 2 replay Progress Sports defeated FC Brun Grove 3-0 with Rick Fisher Andrew Brown and Curt Smith on target. 

In the Premier League Northern Care got back to winning ways against Wrea Green with a 3-2 victory. Pulcinella`s moved above Fylde Coast Gates after beating them 2-1 with goals from Chris Coll and Lee Impett. 

Paris Casino climbed off the bottom of Division 1 after the 3-1 win over Fairhaven with a Jason Nuttall double and a Chris Jackson goal. In an 11 goal thriller with Northern Care Reserves Fleetwood Cricket Club came out on top 6-5.  FC Eden kept the pressure on leaders FC Loco by winning 5-3 against Highbury Vets with pairs from Ryan Bingham and Craig Byrom. 

Leaders of Division 2A Great Eccleston suffered a surprise 4-2 defeat by Mythop Leisure but second placed West Coast Tackle returned to form with a Rick Seear hat trick helping them to a 5-2 victory at Claremont Cons. Robert Greaves scored four times in Spindles 5-2 win against Hampton Road Social. 

Layton Institute`s good run continued in Division 2B with the 2-1 success over No. 4 Pub with Daniel Butterworth and Paul Faye on the score sheet. Marshall Court won their first double of the season by beating Boars Head with Stuart Stockwell getting the only goal in the match. Blackpool Catholic Club defeated Metrostars for the second successive week with Jimmy Gilmour scoring twice in the 4-0 victory which earned them 16 points from their last 6 games. 

The top four teams in Division 3A all drew their games but leaders Real Burlington need only one more win to secure the title. J & S Body Repairs moved off the bottom after trouncing St. Annes Ex Service 6-1 with Danny Cowell`s 4 goals leading their scorers. 

Golden Eagle went top of division 3B after beating Score Football 4-0 with Sam Bannister netting twice. Previous leaders FC Kingsfield`s poor run continued in the  4-2 loss at SPS who have now won their last 7 games. C & G Electical defeated Uncle Toms Cabin 6-3 with doubles from Luke Noble and Nick Perry. FC Edge and Ashiana finished 4-4 with Scott Gardner and Joel Isaac scoring twice for their sides.
