Mortgage Shop Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Report 28 February 2010

In the Mortgage Shop Blackpool and Fylde Sunday Alliance Premier side Northern Care suffered their second cup defeat to lower division opposition when they lost 2-1 in the Premier Cup to Division 1 side FC Eden whose goals came from Craig Byrom and Ciaran Donnelly. In the other cup game Devonshire Arms beat Additions 7-1 with Adam Cook and David Cram both scoring twice.

Quilligans thrashed bottom side Wrea Green 9-1 in the Premier Division to stay a point behind the leaders Poulton with a game in hand. Stalwart Phil Thompson and the ever impressive Michael Evans both scored hat tricks. Poulton defeated The Dunes 6-1 with a Darren Hall double leading their scorers. Paul Bailey scored all Hydronics goals in the 4-1 win against Fylde Coast Gates.

Bloomfield Vets celebrated Duncan Gouck winning the League Manager of the Month award with a 5-1 victory over Paris Casino in Division 1 with Benjamin McKay scoring 4. Michael Anderson grabbed a hat trick for Highbury Vets. in the 5-2 defeat of Northern Care Res. Fleetwood Cricket Club and The Shovels shared the points in a 4-4 result with Joe Hallam getting 3 goals for the Shovels.

West Coast Tackle missed a penalty and lost the chance to return to top of Division 2A after being held 2-2 by lowly MA2 with Ben Seear scoring their goals and Jon Turnbull and Chris Danson replying. FC Brun Grove hammered Autoweld 8-1 with Ross Swift netting 4 times and Barry Davenport 3. Spindles and The Squirrel drew 4-4 with Scott Park and Adam Monk getting doubles for their teams.

Highfield Social went joint top of Division 2B after the 2-0 win at The No. 4 Pub with Lee Chettle and Fraser Cook on the score sheet. Two first half goals from Stephen Bosner helped Blackpool Catholic Club to the 3-1 win over AFC Marton.  A Craig Simpson hatrick gave Marshall Court a surprise 3-1 victory at Boars Head. Midfielder Ryan Bonney was the man of the match for bottom side Mere Park as they enjoyed their second win of the season in the 4-1 defeat of Old England.

Real Burlington the clear leaders on Division 3A saw off challengers Teamsport 90 3-1 with goals from Ryan Long Chris Nay and Andrew Willacy. Number 4 Celtic thrashed St Annes Ex-Service 9-1 with Richard Blampied getting 4 goals and Luigi and Alfonso Farina 2 each.

Second placed Golden Eagle hammered Division 3B leaders FC Kingsfield 9-1 with a Craig Frankland hat trick and doubles from Sam Bannister and Brent Skellington.
