Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance 21st February 2010.

The overnight snow resulted in only 10 games being played in the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance.

The top match of the day saw Division 1 title challengers FC Eden take on Premier side Fylde Coast Gates for a place in the semi final of the Gledhill Cup. Gates took the lead on the half hour with a Zack McGuirk free kick before Craig Byrom equalised on 65 minutes following a corner. As extra time beckoned McGuirk scored the winner when a free kick was conceded after the goalkeeper handled a back pass.

In Division 1 Bloomfield Vets. narrowed the gap on third placed The Old Town Hall after defeating them 3-2 with goals from Benjamin McKay Ross Gouck and John Davies and Peter Clarkson and Lucas Thornley replying.

Hampton Road Social Club moved off the bottom of Division 2A after winning 5-2 at MA2 with a Dominic McGowan double leading their scorers. An Adrian James hat trick helped The Squirrel to a 8-1 victory against Claremont Cons.

Leaders of Division 2B Progress Sports and Social suffered their first defeat of the season after losing 1-0 to Blackpool Catholic Club with Stephen Bosner converting a late penalty. No. 4 Pub won 3-1 against Boars Head with Wes Smith Mark Truby and Mark Meehan on the score sheet. Layton Institute thrashed The Old England 9-1 with Daniel Butterworth getting a hat trick and Mark Ronson a pair.

Bottom of Division 3A Lane Ends shocked leaders Real Burlington by holding them to a 2-2 draw with Ashley Baines and Adam Wilson scoring their goals and Mark Webster and Chris Nay netting for the Burlington. Falcon won 2-0 against J & S Body Repairs with goals from Michael Parker and Neil Gore.

CB Choice Furniture had a good 5-0 victory at The Stable Bar in Division 3B with a hat trick from Ben Sly and other goals from Sam Ives and Luke Taylor.
