Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 14 February 2010
Cup games again dominated the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance. In the Premier Cup two exciting games went into extra time with FC Eden needing a Craig Byrom hat trick to defeat Fleetwood Cricket Club 6-5 whilst Bloomfield Vets. won 3-2 against leaders FC Loco. Poulton SFC struggled to beat bottom side Paris Casino 2-1 with a double from Lee Catlow. Quilligans eased through 4-0 against Fylde Coast Gates. David Cram netted 6 times in the Devonshire Arms 9-3 victory over Highbury Vets. Blackpool Rangers defeated Pulcinella`s 4-1 with a pair from Richard Bryan leading their scorers.
Highfield Social beat Fleetwood Kings 3-0 in the Division 2 Cup with 2 goals from Craig Worrall and another from Scott Waters.
Craig Frankland scored 6 times for Golden Eagle in their 8-2 defeat of St Annes Ex Service in the Division 3 Cup.
In the league Division 2A leaders Great Eccleston were surprisingly beaten 2-1 by Mythop Leisure whose goals came from Danny McKenzie and Matthew Rainbow.Second placed West Coast Tackle struggled to beat bottom side Hampton Road Social 3-2 with goals from Rick Seear(2) and Warwick Hargreaves. Michael Nicholson and Scott Park scored in injury time as Spindles came back to win 4-3 at Rossall Tavern. Improving Claremont Cons. beat Autoweld 5-2 with doubles from Steve Moseley and Andrew Duckworth. FC Brun Grove had a shock 5-2 victory over FC Talbot with Barry Davenport getting a hat trick.
Progress Sports and Social who are top of Division 2B beat bottom side Mere Park 11-1 with Curt Smith scoring 4 and Andrew Brown and Aaron Clarke getting 2 each. Boars Head and Skye shared the points in a 5-5 result with Skye`s Lee O`Neill scoring three. Mark Meehan Mark Truby and Ryan Mann all scored twice for No. 4 Pub in the 7-1 defeat of Metrostars.
Real Burlington are clear leaders of Division 3A after beating No. 4 Celtic 4-1 whilst third placed Farmers surprisingly lost 2-0 to FC Rangers whose goals came from Daniel Smith and Ryan Bradley.
In Division 3B leaders FC Kingsfield won 6-0 against Newton Castilla. Ashiana gained ground on Score Football after beating them 4-3 with Phillipson Peltier and Tarren Moxon getting pairs for their teams.. Frenchmans Cove won 6-3 at bottom side Sun Inn with Christopher Awde scoring three and a Luke Noble hat trick gave C & G Electrical a 3-2 win over The Stable Bar.
