Cup games dominated the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance last weekend. The shock of the day was in the Gledhill Cup with Premier division top side Northern Care losing 3-1 to division 2 leaders Highfield Social with goals from Fraser Cook Scott Waters and Craig Worrall.
Devonshire Arms eased through 5-1 against Fleetwood Cricket Club with a hat trick from Bryn Jones and a Daniel Whittaker double. Blackpool Rangers narrowly won their replay with Highbury Vets. 3-2.
In the Premier Cup division 1 leaders FC Loco beat Premier team Hydronics 4-1 with Chris Smith scoring all their goals. West Coast Tackle overcame Blackpool Catholic Club 2-0 in the division 2 Cup with Ric Seear scoring both goals in the first half. Progress Sports won 5-2 at Rossall Tavern thanks to a Rick Fisher hat trick and a David Wadiun brace. A depleted Waterloo Sports lost 6-0 to The Squirrel with Adrian James and Adam Holliday both scoring twice.
In the league Premier division leaders Poulton SFC won 4-1 against Pulcinella`s but Quilligans with a game in hand are only a point behind after their 4-2 victory at Wrea Green with Michael Evans scoring twice against his old team.
Division 1 challengers FC Eden struggled to beat Fairhaven 2-1 with Craig Byrom and Ryan Bingham on the score sheet.
Leaders of division 2A Great Eccleston won 3-0 at Hampton Road Social Club.
Old England went above Marshall Court in division 2B after beating them 5-3 with veteran striker Jamie Fullalove getting a hat trick. Boars Head went to fourth after a 6-2 win against Mere Park but needed an outstanding display from their 16 year old goalkeeper Nathan Gourley and a hat trick from Colin Hannigan to secure victory.Metrostars and Fleetwood Kings shared the points in a 1-1 draw with the goals scored by Stuart Wilson and Del Fenwick.
Real Burlington are clear leaders in division 3A after defeating challengers Farmers 3-1. Second placed Teamsport 90 beat Number Four Celtic 2-1. St Annes Ex Service recorded their second win in the 4-3 victory over The Falcon.
In division 3B the Golden Eagle 4-1 win against FC Edge kept the pressure on leaders FC Kingsfield who defeated The Stable Bar 3-1 with a double from Martin Bowlings.Score Football beat FC Newton Castilla 7-3 with a Tarren Moxon hat trick and a pair from Richard Molyneux. Nick Perry and Dacre Wroe both got hat tricks for C & G Electrical in the 9-0 defeat of CB Furniture.
