Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance Report 23 September 2009.
The Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance is left with 10 teams in the competition after last Sundays second round of the Lancashire Cup.Previous winners Quilligans had a comfortable 6-2 win against Preston side Lea Celtic with Lee Broadbent and Jordan Dowthwaite both scoring twice.
Premier Division leaders Northern Care struggled against First Division West Coast Tackle Postal and were 1-0 down at half time to a Rick Seear goal. The score was 1-1 until the 90th minute when 2 late goals saw Northern Care through. Chris Jackson scored a hat trick in Paris Casino`s 6-2 win against Teamsport 90 whose goals came from Stuart Wilson. Wrea Green beat Crown & Shuttle 6-2 and No.4 Pub eased through 6-3 away to St. Helens Rovers with Mark Meehan Carey Baird and Sean Lonsdale all scoring twice. The Old Town Hall hammered Old Boars Head 9-2 with doubles from Gary Fairfield and Ryan Dunn.
In the Gledhill Cup Poulton SFC went through 9-2 against MA2 with Carl Eastwood 3 and Lee Catlow 2 leading the scorers.
Hydronics beat The Dunes 5-3 in the only Premier game with Phil Smith getting 3 goals and new signing Brett Dawson 2. Wayne Gardiner scored all the Dunes goals.
In Division 1A Waterloo Sports & Social won 8-1 against Claremont Cons to go joint top with Great Eccleston who could only draw 1-1 with FC Talbot. Fireplace Superstore and Fleetwood Kings both kept their 100% records in Division 2B with Progress Sports & Social challenging them following their 5-0 defeat of Old England. AFC Ansdell Excelsior stay joint top of Division 3A after beating bottom side Gennars 12-1 with Daniel Garth and Mitchell Horton each getting 4 goals. Farmers Arms are level with them after a good win 5-2 against Falcon with doubles from Daniel and Stephen Farquhar.
Real Burlington kept up with the leaders with a 6-1 win at St Annes Ex-Service with Jamie Nay scoring 3 times.FC Kingsfield maintained their 100% record in division 3B by winning 7-3 away to King Edward V11 with 3 goals from Martin Bowlings and a Luke Noble pair. FC Edge had a surprise 4-1 win at Frenchmans Cove thanks to a Scott Gardner hat trick.
