Due to waterlogged pitches in Wyre only 25 of the 32 of the second round ties were played last Sunday in the Mortgage Shop Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Football Alliance Gledhill Cup. In some exciting games replays are required in 3 games which finished 4-4 after extra time with 5 matches ending in 4-3 scores. 
 
Holders Quilligans had an early shock against Boars Head who scored first through Colin Hannigan but eased through 6-1 with Peter Tabener scoring three times in the first half. Quilligans now meet King Edward V11 from division 3B who had a surprise 4-3 win against No. 4 Celtic with goals from Ryan Breheny Mark Atkinson and 2 from Ben Sly.
 
Shock win of the day was by division 1 bottom side G. E. Rushworth who came out on top 3-2 at premier side Pulcinella`s with Wayne Dugdale Richard Mills and Daniel Davies scoring their goals. Premier side Hydronics led 2-0 at half time against division 1 opponents North West Kitchens who fought back to 3-3 to take the game to extra time. The teams finished level at 4-4 and replay next week.
 
In the all division 2B tie Highfield Social were lackadaisical against Metrostars who they had beaten 8-1 last week. They had to come from behind to level 2-2 but went on to win 8-3 in extra time during which substitute Craig Worrall scored all 6 goals with earlier goals coming from John Lawson and James Robinson.
 
Score Football from division 3B earned a replay against Northern Care Res. in a 4-4 final score with Paul Simpson scoring a hat trick for Northern Care and Adam Fletcher netting twice for the visitors. Frenchmans Cove continued their good form taking Claremont Cons. to a replay after a 4-4 draw. The Dunes Bloomfield Vets Northern Care and FC Talbot were all narrow 4-3 winners.
 
In the League inconsistent Old England recorded their second win of the season in division 2B by beating AFC Marton 5-0 with doubles from Jamie Fullalove and Graeme Foy. Gennars are still looking for their first points in division 3A after losing 8-1 to leaders AFC Ansdell Excelsior with Paul Smith scoring 4 goals and Scott Worsnip getting the consolation goal. In the only other game Berrys Beds and Teamsport drew 2-2 with Andy Smith scoring twice for Teamsport.
