Mythop Leisure FC reach the semi-finals.

Mythop Leisure FC's 1-0 home win against North West Kitchens took them through to the semi-finals of this season's Division 2 Cup.  They'll be joined by three of the strong favourites.  Mythop will face FC Eden in the semi who beat Marshall Court 9-1.  Up at Broadwaters Fleetwood Cricket Club beat Brun Grove 3-1 and AFC Additions comfortably beat an out of sorts Spindles FC 4-1.

It was interesting day in the Premier Division where Quilligans went seven points clear at the top of the table after beating Poulton 2-1 away in the game of the day.  It's still any one from five as in-form Devonshire Arms were brought back down to earth with a bump as they went down 4-1 at home to Pulcinellas.  Blackpool Rangers are still going very well in third after they beat the Layton Institute 4-1.  Northern Care's recent poor form continued as they crashed 7-3 at home to Hydronics.

In Division 1 all Halfway House and Ward Heating can do is keep winning and hope for the best.  Leaders Fylde Coast Gates were without a game and both of their title rivals did exactly that with a win apiece.  Halfway House stay second after winning 3-1 away at the Golden Eagle.  Ward Heating faced fellow in-form side Shovels FC at the Edge but Ward showed their class with a 4-2 win.  It's now a three horse race for the title.  Fleetwood Car Centre had a good 3-1 home win against Bloomfield Vets.

The top two in Division 2A were involved in Cup action and both reached the semis.  Their day was made all the sweeter as their only rivals for the title both lost and in effect ended their chances.  Waterloo Sports & Social lost 3-2 at home to West Coast Tackle Postal and in one of the best performances of the day the Links Hotel beat Great Eccleston 2-1 away.  The Squirrel were held to a 2-2 draw away at Highfield Social and Claremont Cons are in sixth tonight after their 4-3 home win against Rossall Tavern.

The Fairhaven had an opportunity to go top of 2B this morning but they were beaten 4-1 at home by FC Excelsior.  Frenchman's Cove are seventh after they beat FC Talbot 2-1 and St Annes Ex Service upset the form book by beating Progress Sports & Social 2-1 away from home.  AFC Marton picked up a much needed 3-2 win against bottom club Old England.

MA2 FC are back on top of 3A after their emphatic 8-0 win against Walkabout Celtic.  Foulds Metals could only draw 1-1 against the Falcon which could be crucial as only goal difference separates them from the leaders and they've played three games more.  The Farmers are up to fourth after their 5-1 home win against the Stable Bar and FC Gretone look to be finishing strongly after they picked up a 3-0 win over the Saddle Inn.  C&G Electrical's 1-0 win against Layton Institute Juniors took them to third bottom.  FC Newton and Teamsport played out a 1-1 draw.

No more bets on FC Matrix as their 4-1 away win at current leaders Hampton Road Social Club made them dead certs for the title.  Another of their rivals Fireplace Superstore lost 2-1 at home to the Oxford and Fylde Construction's hopes for a top three finish took a knock as they were beaten 3-1 away at Pulcinellas Reserves.  Metrostars had a morale boosting 8-2 win against Bar 19 FC and Trades & Social beat Automedon 5-4.  St Annes FC had a good win against the loft who they beat 3-1 and SPS FC took their fourth point of the season off the Real Burlington in a 2-2 draw.

Action from this morning's Division 2 Cup Quarter-Final between AFC Additions and Spindles FC that was played up at Broadwaters.  For more pictures be sure to check out this week's 'Sportspy Reports'.
