Division 3A

Only seven of the sides that started Division 3A last season remain for the 2007/08 campaign.  Not long into the 2006/07 season we had a couple of early fallers as both FC Reebok and the Welcome Pub quickly folded and faded into history.  At the end of the season Additions FC joined them after finishing bottom.  At the end of the campaign we bid farewell to four teams who achieved promotion.  After going unbeaten in the league all season Wrea Green FC were promoted to the Prem.  Mythop Leisure and Clifton Skye won promotion to Division 2B whilst Blackpool Catholic Club were promoted to Division 2A.

The 2007/08 Division 3A campaign hopes to start with thirteen teams.  The six newcomers are made up of the following sides.  Stanley Arms, Wesham FC have been relegated from Division 2B whilst Fairhaven FC and the Windmill FC have come up from Division 3B.  We also see three new teams joining the league.  These are The Ship, Fleetwood FC, FC Eden and Waterloo Sports & Social Club FC.

In the 2004/05 season the Stanley Arms FC finished in tenth in 2B.  The following season the Kirkham side showed little if no improvement as they once again finished in tenth position.  Last season proved to be on to forget as the side slumped to bottom of the league with only one win to their name.  Four points from a possible sixty-six was a poor return indeed.
