|Two very interesting looking matches on offer in midweek. Along with Quilligan's Lancashire Sunday Trophy Semi Final against Elton Vale Sports Club FC we at last see the conclusion of the Compere Cup. Get out and watch them both !|
Can Quilligans FC reach the final of this season's Lancashire Sunday Trophy? We'll find out on Thursday evening (February 22nd) as they take on Elton Vale Sports Club FC at Victory Park , Chorley. Kick off on Thursday is at 7:30pm.
Chorley FC is only about 45 minutes away so try and make the effort to go and watch what will surely be a memorable occasion. If the Alliance Champions can recreate the form they showed against Preston side Ingol Rangers in the last round then an appearance in the final is a distinct possibility.
It would be great for the BFSFA as well as Quilligans if we can get a side through to the final as it very much helps the credibility of Sunday Football on the Fylde Coast. With some good pubs along the way to and from the game it's an excellent excuse to meet up with a few mates and go and see some midweek football.

Compere Cup Final
Wednesdaynight (February 21st) and a little bit nearer home there's the Compere Cup Final between Premier Division side Arcadian FC and Division 1 leaders Hydronics FC.
The final takes place at Blackpool Mechanics FC and kick off is at 7:15pm. Arcadian are the current holders and the 'Nudgers' will be going all out to retain the trophy. They'll have a difficult task as opponents Hydronics FC will no doubt prove to be stern opposition. Both teams are in excellent form and extra time wouldn't be a surprise.
Sadly, this will almost certainly be the last ever Compere Cup game. The Compere Cup, named after Wilf Wells the ex Blackpool FC announcer, is very long established competition so never mind Liverpool v Barcelona, this historic fixture will be far more interesting. Please note that there is a small admission charge of
