40th GLEDHILL TROPHY – QUARTER FINAL DRAW

Red Rose Catering v Wrea Green
Cahoots v Fleetwood CC
Poulton v Bloomfield Vets
Dunes v Quilligans

Arcadian were facing the decision of their appeal against the League tonight after being ejected from the cup for inadvertently playing an ineligible player against Wrea Green in Round 4.

Secretary Will Watt was pacing like an expectant father at the Marton Institute awaiting the verdict. One wit suggested 'they must be innocent, they can't even spell ineligible…'

Arcadian eventually lost their appeal so Wrea Green's unbeaten record manages to stay intact. At least it does until they meet Red Rose Catering…

Cahoots v Fleetwood CC will also be tough to call. Cahoots can match anyone on their day but the Cricket Club have already dumped Prem high-flyers Highbury out.

Poulton will fancy a third successive semi-final slot but some of the Vets may have other ideas.

The Dunes drew the short straw against perennial trophy winners Quilligans, surely they haven't enough in their locker?
