BFSFA Representative side set to return.

After a five year absence the BFSFA representative side will re-emerge in October to play a two legged match against our friends  and rivals from the Preston Sunday league.  Interested ?  Think you're good enough ? Then read on.

BFSFA Representative team 1967/68.

Since winning the Lancashire Inter League Tropy five seasons ago there has been no BFSFA Representative side matches so it's about time we got it up and running again.

Around the end of October we will be playing the Preston Sunday League in a two legged challenge match.  One game will hopefully be at Wren Rovers FC probably around the end of October and the other away in Preston.

Quilligans FC manager Mark Spedding, who was in charge of the successful team five years ago will again be manager.  He will be announcing the rest of his management team shortly.  His team will be looking at the form of players over the next couple of months for selection to the squad.

The criteria for selection is that they must be regular Sunday players, be available on midweek nights, (the games are planned for Thursday's) and a Wednesday night training session will be planned.

If you're an interested player or a manager/secretary who thinks one of your players is worthy of inclusion then E-Mail Mark Spedding via the Quilligans website or E-mail me at and I'll gladly pass it on.  Alternatively who can leave a message on the message board.

Naturally it will be difficult for players to get in to the squad from outside of the Premier Division but this does not discount them entirely. will be covering the match both home and away.   Let me know what you think the squad should be and I'll publish a selection (Anonymously if preferred)
