World Cup – Day 20 and no games ! Feeling edgy in need of a football fix after the recent feast of football.  Clearly not the only one as two games go ahead at Commonedge Road.

In the Compere Cup the Burlington took on the Talbot Sports & Social Club.  It was a really good game with lots of end to end football.  The Burlington were always behind but in the end the Talbot had to endure a nervy final few minutes as their opponents pulled it back to 4-3.  Quilligans win the group as expected.

Out on Pitch 7 last season's Reform Health Club were playing their first ever fixture as Arcadian FC in a friendly against the Subway FC who are due to change their name to Gillespies in the very near future.  Another close fixture that ended 2-1 to Arcadian.

Free agent Andy Speight recently sighted playing for Cahoots turns out tonight in a Reform jersey.

It's no secret that many managers are none too keen on the Compere Cup.  You can add AFC Dunes manager Danny Hugo to the list when he sees his player Andy Emery being carried off after a nasty injury following his guest appearance for the Subway this evening.
