(Saturday -18/03/06) Visiting Swansea side AFC Threshers filled in the daylight hours by taking on Division 3B title hopeful’s Blackpool Rangers FC at Commonedge Road.

University side AFC Threshers arrived in the resort on Friday afternoon.  After a very late night in Brannigans and Club Sanuk they were still up for kick off at 12:30 pm on Pitch 6 at Commonedge Road.  Rangers rapidly put together a bare eleven.  Rangers’ Player ?/Manager John Miles took the whistle.

Before heading for the warmth of the Shovels and the Everton v Villa match on Sky I popped over to take a few pictures.  For the first twenty minutes Threshers were in full control and quickly went 2-0 up.  Rangers picked up and played well in the final twenty minutes of the half.  In the end the score finished level at 2-2.  A fair result by all accounts.  Let us know if you play a friendly against a visiting side and we may feature it on the site.
